Where these numbers come from. Estimate for a $1,000,000 raise open 4 months on Invown’s Syndicator plan (monthly billing). Typical-portal figures come from the five largest Reg CF platforms’ own SEC filings (Form C compensation disclosures, 10-Ks, filed order forms) and published fee schedules, re-verified September 29, 2026.
The 7% anchor. Published success fees run 4.9–8.5%; the 7% anchor sits mid-band — it understates three of the five and overstates the two cheapest on their filed terms.
What portals add on top. Four of the five charge a one-time setup or onboarding fee of $5,000–$47,500, several amounts disclosed only in SEC filings and one explicitly non-refundable; one charges none. Published recurring charges run from $1,000 per year to $2,000 or more per month, including post-close annual charges where that is how a platform bills; escrow is a third-party bank at every portal, with issuer-paid fees that are bundled, roughly $500–$1,500, or left to unpublished negotiated schedules. Three of the five also take 1–2% of the offering in the issuer’s own securities — dilution rather than cash, not counted in this table. Wherever a platform publishes no charge for a line, this table credits it $0.
The honest range. On their own filed terms, the verified all-in cash cost of a $1M raise at the five largest runs from about $54,000 to $128,500 or more before optional marketing packages, so savings against Invown’s $28,495 all-in range from about $25,500 to $100,000; the headline $41,505 measures against the 7% success fee alone.
What’s excluded. Third-party Form C, legal and CPA-review costs (typically $1,500–$10,000 per the portals’ own disclosures) are excluded from both columns; payment processing is a pass-through at Invown and investor-paid or bundled at most portals. Fee schedules change and some amounts are negotiated per deal. Full plan lineup and inclusions on our pricing page.
