How long does it take to launch a raise and get funded on Invown?

For a Reg CF raise, plan on roughly two months from signup to the release of funds: about 30 days to prepare the offering, a minimum of 21 days with the listing live, and about 3 days to release funds after you close. You can also keep the listing open longer — for example, three months — to give your marketing time to work.

Preparation: about 30 days

After you sign up, Invown’s onboarding flow walks you through the information and documents needed at each stage. During this period Invown carries out the SEC-mandated review of your offering materials, runs background checks, and sets up escrow accounts with its third-party providers. You also prepare the legal documentation, starting from Invown’s templates or having everything customized by your own attorney, including the Form C (Reg CF) or Form D (Reg D) filing. How quickly this stage moves depends in part on how quickly you can supply what is needed.

The live offering: 21 days minimum for Reg CF

Once your listing is live, you can market it publicly through social media, email, webinars, or paid advertising, or invite your existing investor base. 506(b) offerings cannot be marketed publicly, though you can still invite known investors to the platform. A Reg CF listing must stay open for at least 21 days; 506(b) and 506(c) offerings have no minimum listing period. You can keep the listing open for a set period or close it once you reach your minimum or target amount.

After you close: about 3 days

Investor funds are held in escrow with a third-party bank until closing. Before releasing them, Invown verifies that the money will be used as set out in your offering materials. For a property purchase, that usually means reviewing closing documents and confirming the stated use of funds with attorneys, lenders, or agents. Invown then directs the escrow provider to release the funds and provides a full export of your investor data.
