What should I do if my campaign stalls?

Raising on Invown2 min readUpdated Oct 1, 2026

A stalled campaign is a signal to review the evidence, not proof that one tactic, page, or person caused the slowdown. Work through the review below before changing anything on a live offering. The review may surface a correctable issue, but no change can assure more investment commitments or a completed raise.

Define the slowdown first

There is no standard definition of a stalled campaign, so pin down what you actually observed: fewer visits from a source, fewer visitors reaching the offering page, fewer people starting the investment process, or fewer completed commitments, each over comparable date ranges. Use the intermediary’s defined events and statuses, and do not count an email click, account creation, or expression of interest as an investment commitment unless the intermediary records it that way.

Review one layer at a time

  1. Measurement. Confirm both periods are the same length, tracking and event names did not change, and bots and internal visits are excluded consistently. Fix the measurement before diagnosing the campaign.
  2. Disclosure. Compare every important statement on the offering page with the current Form C and its amendments, including terms, financial condition, use of proceeds, team, and risks. If they differ, stop the affected communication and coordinate a correction rather than hiding the inconsistency.
  3. Audience and path. Group contacts by relationship and source instead of treating everyone as ready to invest, then follow every public link on a desktop browser and a real mobile device, documenting broken links and confusing steps.
  4. Communications. Keep every message fair and balanced. Rewrite anything that predicts the offering will close, calls an investment safe or approved, implies SEC or FINRA endorsement, or adds urgency the facts do not support.

Coordinate before changing a live offering

Reg CF transactions must take place online through a single SEC-registered intermediary, so do not route around it or build a substitute investment flow. SEC issuer guidance explains that a material change to an ongoing offering requires a Form C amendment and reconfirmation of outstanding investment commitments within five business days of the reconfirmation notice; otherwise those commitments are canceled. Under Rule 204, off-platform advertising that includes terms of the offering is limited to specified notice information and must direct investors to the intermediary’s platform. Review any material or terms-related change with your intermediary and qualified securities counsel first.

Pause a message and escalate when you cannot support a material statement, a linked page conflicts with current disclosure, or a new fact may be material. For help structuring the review, reach us through support or see our marketing packages. Reg CF investments are speculative and involve risk, and no review guarantees a result.
