When and how do I receive my funds after my raise closes?

Raising on Invown1 min readUpdated Oct 1, 2026

Once your raise closes, Invown directs the release of your funds from escrow after a short set of final checks. On Invown’s standard issuer timeline, this post-offering stage takes about three days.

Where your funds are before closing

Throughout your raise, investor money is held in an escrow account with a third-party bank — Enterprise Bank & Trust or Luminate Bank, as applicable — until your offering closes. For more on how that works, see who holds investor funds during a raise.

Final checks after you close

Before any money moves, Invown must ensure the funds will be used in accordance with the terms set out in your offering materials. Typically, this involves:

  • Reviewing additional documentation — for example, closing documentation if the funds are going toward a property purchase.
  • Verifying the stated use of funds with relevant third parties, such as attorneys, lenders, or agents.

Having your closing documentation ready when your raise ends can help keep this stage moving.

How the money reaches you

Once the checks are complete, Invown directs the release of funds from its escrow provider to the relevant person. Depending on how your deal is structured, that may be you as the issuer, a closing agent, or an attorney.

You also receive a comprehensive data export of all investor information, which you can upload to your investor relations software, for example.

Planning around the timeline

Build the post-offering stage into your closing plans — for example, when scheduling a property closing that depends on the raised funds. For how platform fees are structured, see what it costs to raise on Invown.
